Modern Efficient Transport & Supply (M.E.T.S.)

Modern Efficient Transport and Supply (M.E.T.S) is an on-airport construction support facility located at New York City’s John F. Kennedy International Airport. It includes a concrete batch plant, material crushing, and marine barging transport facility.

The concrete batch plant will supply all the concrete to support construction, including for the two largest terminals and all the roads, parking garages, and other infrastructure at JFK.

About Us

• The facility will consolidate concrete production, debris recycling and marine transport of materials during the ongoing $19 billion airport transformation.

• Increased use of the waterway will eliminate more than 300,000 truck trips annually through local streets and highways, reducing noise and emissions while increasing safety for neighborhoods.

• Facility meets Port Authority commitment to reduce environmental impact on immediate neighborhoods and contribute to agency’s sustainability initiatives.

Our Commitment

• We’re strongly committed to achieving the Port Authority’s goal of 30 percent M/WBE (Minority and Women Business Enterprise) participation, with an emphasis on local business participation, in awarding sub-contracts.

• Concrete Production Committed to Extensive Use of Local Suppliers and Minority-Owned Trucking Firms for On-Airport Trucking Needs.
